Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the OPETUK online store and website.

The store is operated by PAWJOY LTD, trading as OPETUK (“we”, “us” or “our”).

Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.

1. Use of Our Website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating an account, placing an order or otherwise providing information to us.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account details.

If you are under 18, you should use the website and purchase products only with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required by law.

2. Products

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, product colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device and screen settings.

Product packaging, specifications and availability may change from time to time, provided that such changes do not affect your statutory rights.

We may discontinue products or limit the quantity available for purchase where reasonably necessary.

Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality. UK consumers have statutory rights requiring goods to be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

3. Orders

When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the products in your order.

Your order is accepted when we send you confirmation that the order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • there is an obvious pricing or product-information error;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity; or
  • we are unable to fulfil the order for another legitimate reason.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the relevant amount.

Please check your order carefully before submitting it.

Returns, refunds and cancellations are governed by our Return & Refund Policy and your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

4. Prices and Payment

Prices displayed to UK consumers include applicable taxes where required by law.

Any delivery charges or other applicable costs will be clearly displayed before you complete your order.

UK distance-selling rules require businesses to provide customers with the total price including taxes, delivery arrangements and delivery costs before an order is placed.

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method selected for your purchase.

Prices, promotions and discounts may change from time to time. However, changes will not affect an order that we have already accepted unless required by law or agreed with you.

Promotions may be subject to separate terms and conditions.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping options, delivery charges and estimated delivery times are set out in our Shipping Policy and at checkout.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will provide any remedies required by applicable consumer law.

Products remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or the physical possession of a person identified by you to receive them.

An exception may apply where you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer as a delivery option. This reflects section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Please refer to our 7-Day Return & Refund Policy for details of our voluntary returns process.

Our voluntary return policy does not replace or restrict your statutory rights.

For most UK distance purchases, consumers generally have a statutory right to notify the seller of cancellation within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to legal exceptions.

Certain goods may be excluded from statutory cancellation rights where permitted by law.

7. Intellectual Property

All content made available through this website, including trademarks, logos, product names, text, photographs, graphics, videos, designs and other materials, is owned by or licensed to PAWJOY LTD, OPETUK or the relevant rights holder.

Such content is protected by applicable UK and international intellectual property laws.

You may use the website and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You must not reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

If you use a third-party service, you should review that provider’s own terms and privacy policies.

9. Shopify

Our online store is powered by Shopify.

Shopify provides the ecommerce technology that enables us to operate the store, but purchases made through the store are made directly between you and PAWJOY LTD trading as OPET.

Our original Shopify template contained a separate Shopify relationship section for this reason.

Shopify may process information relating to your access to and use of the store in order to provide its services.

Please see our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is handled.

10. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Please review our Privacy Policy before using the website or providing personal information.

11. Reviews and Feedback

If you submit a product review, comment, suggestion or other feedback to us, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You grant us permission to use and display your feedback for the operation, improvement and promotion of our business and services, subject to applicable law.

We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, defamatory, infringing or otherwise inappropriate.

12. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the website:

  • for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
  • to infringe our rights or the rights of another person;
  • to transmit viruses, malware or harmful code;
  • to impersonate another person or organisation;
  • to collect personal information unlawfully;
  • to interfere with the security or operation of the website;
  • to send spam or unauthorised promotional communications; or
  • to access or extract website content by automated means in a way that violates applicable law or our rights.

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the store, our customers or our legal rights.

13. Errors and Website Availability

We may correct genuine typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions in product descriptions, prices, availability, delivery information or other website content.

If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you where reasonably necessary.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available without interruption, but we will take reasonable steps to maintain its availability and security.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

UK law does not permit a trader to exclude liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are purchasing products as a consumer, these Terms do not exclude remedies available to you for faulty goods, goods that are not as described, or other rights that cannot legally be restricted.

UK consumer contract terms must also be fair and transparent; unfair terms are not binding on consumers.

15. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, transportation disruption, government action, industrial disputes or major telecommunications failures.

Where such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and comply with any applicable consumer-law obligations.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable law.

The latest version will be published on this website.

Changes will not unfairly alter contracts already entered into with customers.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause deprives you of any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings available to you under applicable law.

We will try to resolve any dispute with you directly before court proceedings are commenced.
